Today, more than ever before, with the tremendous advancements being made with technological changes in the motor transport industry, the need exists to provide training, knowledge, and information to those individuals who have a responsibility to supervise
the maintenance and repair of fleet motor vehicles.
Individuals in every level of managerial or supervisory positions recognize the urgent need to keep well informed in the growing complexity of the transport industry.
Communication, the interchange of ideas and the specialized knowledge forms an integral part in the continuing education required in the management function.

- Meetings are held the third Wednesday of every month (excluding July and August) where a notable speaker will give a presentation on either a product that their company has for sale, or a part of a motor truck which they will explain in detail, or for that
matter, an entire motor truck.
- Meetings commence at 5:30 p.m. for refreshment, then a buffet style dinner around 6:30 p.m. followed by a brief business meeting. The subjects material presented is usually covered within one hour time range and the meeting conclude around 8:30 p.m..

To be eligible, a person may be a Manager, Service Superintendent, Service Manager, Foreman, or involved in the maintenance operations of a bus or truck fleet, or a person associated with the supply of goods and
services to support the motor transport industry.
A person must also have at least 12 months of service in a related field. Any person meeting the above criteria, being of the full age of 18 years, and with a favorable vote passed by a majority of the Executive Committee, and upon payment of the membership
fee may become a member of this Association.

It is usually from this vast group of Members that we are able to acquire our knowledgeable speakers and their capable parent companies who sponsor the meetings.
